Wedges can be as personal as putters and looking at the ones used by the top pros in SG: Around-the-Green in 2025, it’s clear there are lot of different ways to get the ball close to the hole.
While one brand, Titleist’s Vokey Wedges, dominates this list with six of the top-10, and each of the top-4 players, there’s only one repeat grind among the six lob wedges. It’s no surprise to see both Patton Kizzire and Russell Henley use the SM10 T-Grind for their lob wedges, which is one of Vokey’s most popular grinds on the PGA Tour.
But among the top-10, the A+, A, L and K*-grinds also factor in as lob wedge choices, showcasing the variety of different delivery patterns and shot priotity among the PGA Tour’s best wedge players this season.
The interesting thing is that all of those grinds would be considered low, or mid-bounce offerings by Vokey and only the T-grind is available in Vokey’s retail lineup.
The rest of the top-10 is rounded out by three Cleveland wedge users, and one Callaway wedge user.

Titleist Vokey SM10 Raw Custom Wedge
For every shot, every lie, every course, there’s a grind fit for your swing. Finding the right grind to match your swing and playing conditions will give you the best turf interaction, contact and shot performance. Master Craftsman Bob Vokey has spent decades crafting, developing and improving his tour proven grinds to fit players of all levels.Anyone can manufacture a wedge, but it takes a master to turn a piece of high-performance technology into an instrument of creative control. Bob’s six tour-proven grinds are designed to offer maximum creativity, versatility and consistency, all meticulously developed through years of working with the best players in the world.
PROGRESSIVE CENTER OF GRAVITY
SM9 features a progressive center of gravity (CG) throughout the lofts, which optimizes ball flight, accuracy and forgiveness. Using tapered top lines and varied hosel lengths, the Vokey R&D team has raised the height of the CG in the higher lofts, which promotes a lower, more controlled flight. The CG is also forward of the face, resulting in increased MOI, exceptional feel and a club face that simply wants to square up at impact.
SPIN MILLED GROOVES
SM9’s patented Spin Milled grooves are meticulously engineered through a new cutting process to maximize spin and durability. The process starts by cutting the face perfectly flat with a high-speed saw. Then every groove is individually cut based on loft and finish; low lofts (46°-54°) are designed with narrower, deeper grooves, while higher lofts (56°-62°) have wider, shallower grooves.Micro-grooves are individually cut in between grooves, which maximize spin on partial shots. A proprietary heat treatment is applied to the impact area which doubles the durability of the groove without impacting feel, making it the most durable groove in golf. The process is only complete when every Vokey wedge is 100% inspected for utmost quality and performance.

Cleveland RTX Full-Face 2 Custom Wedge
Featuring a face packed full of grooves in an advanced, high-toe profile, RTX Full-Face 2 Wedges deliver even greater versatility from any greenside position or condition. Packed with HydraZip, ZipCore, and UltiZip technologies, RTX Full-Face 2 is built to help players ace daring, open-face shots around the green.
HydraZip
Our new dynamic blast and laser-milled line system creates roughness to enhance friction—maximizing spin in any conditions and from anywhere around the green. Visually, RTX Full-Face 2 Wedge faces are more matte than last generation, reducing glare at address.
ZipCore
Our proprietary, low-density core technology has exponentially evolved for RTX Full-Face Wedges, with up to 96% more ZipCore material that contributes to MOI gains of up to 13%. By setting the CG right where you strike the ball, ZipCore offers players increased spin, distance, consistency, feel, and control on every shot.

Cleveland RTZ Custom Wedge
All-new RTZ Wedges are made with Z-Alloy, a completely new steel formula that enables a zero-compromise design approach for incredible feel, better durability, and more consistency for our best performing tour Wedges yet. Plus, there’s an all-new ADAPT grind featuring full-face grooves, to give RTZ Wedges more versatility than ever before.
Z-Alloy
Z-Alloy is a brand-new steel with better feel. It’s softer, lighter, and remarkably durable. It gives RTZ Wedges superior feel, better forgiveness, and more consistency. On RTZ Tour Rack Wedges, Z-Alloy’s rust-resistant properties ensure longer-lasting, like-new performance.
HydraZip
HydraZip is a unique system of face blasts and laser-milled lines formulated to maximize spin performance under wet conditions. This technology is dynamically configured by loft groupings, which helps balance spin across lofts, while maximizing spin in adverse conditions.
ZipCore
This low-density core technology replaces heavier material in the heel and hosel area with a lightweight, low-density, vibration-dampening material. This proprietary core allows us to shift the Center of Gravity closer to where you strike the ball, while simultaneously adding MOI.
UltiZip
UltiZip’s sharper grooves cut through grass and debris at contact, while deeper grooves help make space for grass, sand, dirt, or water to clear the impact zone, giving RTZ Wedges stronger, more consistent spin from the fairway, rough, or bunker.

SPIN POCKET™ CONSTRUCTION
A re-engineered 2-piece construction head design strategically reshapes mass to optimize CG locations. The Spin Pocket redistributes weight higher, raising the CG, and promoting a lower, more penetrating launch. The result is more spin and enhanced control, especially when you need to flight shots or attack tight pins.
NEW SPIN GEN 2.0 FACE™
The most advanced face in OPUS history. A new 17° groove angle with tighter pitch spacing delivers more groove edge contact for more consistent spin across a variety of lies. Combined with a deeper cross-hatch laser pattern across the face, Spin Gen 2.0 produces enhanced friction for more bite and stopping power on all types of approach shots.
